Crash Detection

If they can’t call for help, their phone will.

When a phone feels a hard impact at driving speed followed by a sudden stop, iProtect247 asks if they’re OK. If there’s no answer within 60 seconds, the whole circle is alerted with where it happened.

  • AutomaticPart of every drive.
  • 60-second check“Are you OK?” first.
  • The circle is alertedWith where it happened.

  4. 7:14 AM

Sarah sees his live location, watches live and calls 911

What’s included

When every minute counts.

  • Nothing to switch on

It’s part of driving detection: whenever a drive is recorded, crash detection is on.

  • “Are you OK?” first

A 60-second countdown on the phone. One tap on “I’m OK” and nobody is alerted.

  • The circle, at once

An urgent alert and email with where it happened, the speed, a live location link that opens in any browser, and the local emergency number.

  • Even if the phone is wrecked

The countdown also runs on our servers, so the alert still goes out if the phone can’t.

  • Live audio and video

If they turned it on, the circle can see and hear what’s happening and talk, and the phone tells anyone nearby to call the emergency number.

  • A phone that goes quiet

If a phone stops reporting in the middle of a drive, the circle is told, and told again when it’s back.

How it works

Simple to set up. Quiet until it matters.

  1. Step 1: Allow location and motion

The same permissions driving detection uses. Nothing else to set up.

  2. Step 2: Drive as usual

Crash detection watches quietly in the background during every drive.

  3. Step 3: If it happens

“Are you OK?” first. No answer, and the circle knows where to go.

Only when it matters

A crash alert goes only to the people in their circles and their Nearby helpers. Driving data is never sold, to insurers or anyone else.

Questions

Good questions, straight answers.

Do we need a device in the car?

No. The phone’s own motion sensors and location are enough.

What counts as a crash?

A hard impact at driving speed, followed by a sudden stop. A dropped phone or a speed bump doesn’t set it off.

What if it’s a false alarm?

They tap “I’m OK” during the 60-second countdown, and nobody is alerted.

Does it call emergency services?

No. The circle gets the local emergency number with a one-tap call, along with where it happened and a live link.
